How To Measure For Window Blinds Inside Mount
Have an extra broad window that one shade or blind doesn't quite comprehend? Or information technology'south not quite wide enough that using two or three blinds on one headrail is overkill? Here's a tip. Try mounting two or 3 separate blinds in one window.
This solution works specially well with mini blinds, which are a great selection for both homes and offices. They're a natural fit for today's Industrial design tendency (have you seen some of the hot metallic colors they come in now?). All-aluminum minis are a great choice for large, loftier windows, too, considering they're low maintenance, more durable than the vinyl variety, and resistant to rust, dust and kinks.

How to Measure out for Installing Multiple Blinds in One Window
( Notation: Factory deductions equally shown beneath are taken on inside mounted treatments only. When hanging multiple outside mounted blinds, follow the same steps hither, but do not allow for any deductions; only measure and divide past the number of blinds.)
For inside mounted wood, fake wood and minis:
i. Mensurate the window every bit shown in our measuring instructions. Width is key hither, but don't forget to measure the depth of your window, too.
two. For two (2) dissever blinds in 1 window, take the smallest width and separate it by 2. Then add 1/4″ to the width of each bullheaded. (The manufacturing plant will deduct 1/two″ from each blind.)
Case:
If your window measured 80″ broad, full ordered width for each blind would be:
80″ ÷ 2 = 40″
40″ + one/4″ = forty i/4″
3. For iii (three) blinds in one window, echo the same steps, but exercise not add anything to the width of the center bullheaded.
Example:
If your window measured xc"wide, total ordered width for each blind would be:
ninety" ÷ 3 = 30"
Left blind = 30" + 1/4" = thirty ¼" Eye blind = 30″ Right bullheaded = 30″ + 1/4″ = xxx ane/4″
When measuring for multiple honeycomb/cellular blinds for one window, follow the same steps, only add together ane/eight″ to the width of each blind. (The factory will deduct 1/4″ from each blind.)
